Melatonin linked to alarming increase of heart failure: Study
Prolonged use of the sleep supplement melatonin may be linked to heart failure or even death, a new study warns. Researchers analysed health records of over 1 lakh adults with insomnia who took melatonin for at least a year, comparing them with those who didn't take melatonin. They found melatonin users had about 90% higher risk of developing heart failure.
