Meta estimated an earning of ₹1.42 lakh crore by running scam ads: Report
In 2024, Meta internally estimated that it would earn 10%, which is $16 billion (about ₹1.42 lakh crore ), by running advertisements for scams and prohibited items, Reuters reported, citing leaked documents. Meta reportedly charges a penalty if it believes an advertiser is a scammer but only bans them if it's at least 95% certain fraud is being committed.
