Meta warns under 16 users in Australia to download or delete data
Meta has begun notifying Australian users it believes are under 16 that their Facebook, Instagram and Threads accounts will be deleted starting Dec 4, urging them to download or delete their data. Australia will ban under 16 users from holding social media accounts beginning Dec 10, 2025. Meta shares were flat premarket, with retail sentiment neutral on Stocktwits.
