Microsoft to enforce stricter return-to-office policy by 2026
Microsoft may enforce a "stricter" return-to-office policy for some of its teams, terminating its current "flexible" hybrid model, a report stated. The policy would potentially mandate a minimum of three days of work-from-office/per week by 2026. This comes after its recent internal restructuring, where 15,000 employees were laid off throughout 2024, while 9,000 workers were laid off in July.
