Mitchell Owen becomes third Australian to hit 50 on T20I debut
Australia batter Mitchell Owen scored 50 off 27 balls against West Indies in the first T20I, becoming the third Australian to score a half century on debut. Earlier, former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting had scored 98* off 55 against New Zealand in 2005 and David Warner had hit 89 off 43 against South Africa in 2009 on their T20I debuts.
