Mittal family's Kavin shuts Hike, says 'We hoped for clarity that never came in India'
Airtel Founder Sunil Bharti Mittal's son Kavin announced he's shutting messaging platform Hike following India's ban on real-money gaming (RMG). Initially launched in 2016, Hike shut its messaging app in 2021 and pivoted to building RMG platform Rush, featuring 14 money-based mobile games. He said "RMG was never the destination" but Hike "hoped for clarity that never came" in India.
