Mobile phones totally banned inside Puri's Jagannath Temple
The Srimandir Security Sub-Committee on Tuesday announced a total ban on mobile phones inside the 12th-century Shree Jagannath Temple, applying to devotees, servitors, and police personnel. Ex-CAG Girish Chandra Murmu said, "No one, including police and sevayats, will be allowed to carry mobile phones inside." Servitors will use walkie-talkies, and the move aims to protect the shrine's security.
