The Moon has a solid inner core with a density similar to iron, measuring around 7,822 kilograms per cubic metre, a new study has found. Researchers stated that this core has a radius of approximately 258 kilometres, while the liquid outer core around it extends to about 362 kilometres. These findings help explain how the Moon evolved over time.
