A 31-year-old Mumbai man allegedly cheated a family of over ₹17 lakh worth of 145 grams of gold ornaments by falsely claiming he possessed a strand of Prophet Muhammad’s hair. The man who presented a hair in a glass container to the family, claiming he was a descendant of the Prophet, has been booked by the police.
