Nagaland University unveils high-yield ginger 'SAS-KEVIU'
Nagaland University has unveiled a new high-yield ginger variety, SAS-KEVU, developed after nearly a decade of research under AICRP on Spices. Officially notified by the Centre, the variety offers 17.21 tonnes/ha yield and strong dry-matter recovery. Its bold, pulpy, low-fibre rhizomes make it ideal for processing and fresh use, boosting opportunities for farmers and the spice industry.
