NASA on alert as comet 3I/ATLAS sparks fears of a Black Swan Event
NASA is on alert due to comet 3I/ATLAS, the third known object from beyond our Solar System detected in 2025. Despite it posing no danger to Earth, it's being called a 'Black Swan' event because such occurrences are extremely rare, unpredictable, and potentially transformative. Currently 350 million kilometres away, the comet will safely pass Sun's far side on October 29.
