NASA’s Chandra spots fastest-growing black hole in early universe
NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory has detected the fastest-growing black hole in the early universe. Named RACS J0320-35, it is a billion times the Sun's mass and lies 12.8 billion light years away, seen as it was 920 million years after the Big Bang. Its extreme X-ray output shows it is consuming matter faster than expected growth limits.
