Nasa to launch IMAP mission to study the boundary of solar system
NASA will launch the Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) on September 23, 2025, to study the heliosphere, the Sun’s protective bubble around the solar system. From its orbit at L1, IMAP will provide real-time data on solar particles, enhance space weather forecasts, protect astronauts, and safeguard Earth’s satellites and power systems.
