Navy gets its 1st Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft
INS Arnala, the first of 16 warships in the Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC) series, was inducted into the Indian Navy at a ceremony held at Visakhapatnam's Naval Dockyard and attended by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan. INS Arnala incorporates 80% indigenous content and is capable of countering underwater threats in coastal and shallow waters.
