New B'luru airport to come up on 4,500 acre land, to cater to 100 mn people: Minister
The second airport proposed for Bengaluru will require around 4,500-5,000 acres of land and will be designed to cater to 100 million passengers annually, Karnataka minister MB Patil said. The Kempegowda International Airport will reach saturation both in terms of passenger load and handling cargo by 2035, he said, adding that new airport will be as big as existing one.
