New Delhi railway station gets holding area for 7,000 passengers
Indian Railways completed a permanent holding area at New Delhi railway station, capable of accommodating around 7,000 passengers at any given time, to ensure crowd management during festivals. This initiative comes after past stampede incidents, including one during Maha Kumbh. This facility, named 'Yatri Suvidha Kendra', is equipped with modern amenities, including seating arrangements.
