New flying reptile species found in fossilised dinosaur vomit
Researchers have discovered a new extinct flying reptile species in fossilised dinosaur vomit, called regurgitalite, stored at Museu Câmara Cascudo in Brazil. The fossils reveal two filter-feeding pterosaurs, Bakiribu waridza, which exhibited extremely elongated jaws and dense, brush-like tooth rows, alongside four fossil fish. The finding suggested that pterosaurs were prey for larger dinosaurs.
