Tshering Wangchuk Sherpa has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Saturday. Sherpa, a 2002 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, is presently a Joint Secretary in the United Nations Political (UNP) division of the MEA. He will take up the assignment shortly, MEA stated.
