Nifty 50 lags global markets since September 2024
Since September 2024, India’s Nifty has underperformed, down 12%, while China, US, Japan, and Brazil gained up to 26%. The drag comes from weak earnings growth, record FII outflows of ₹2.4 lakh crore, muted consumption, and stalled private capital expenditure. Government tax cuts, repo reduction, and GST relief aim to revive demand and earnings.
