No motor vehicle tax if vehicle not used in public place: SC

The Supreme Court said motor vehicle tax applies only if a vehicle is used or kept for use in a public place. "If a motor vehicle is not used in a public place...then owner should not be burdened with the motor vehicle tax," it said. SC added that the tax is for those using public infrastructure like roads and highways.
