No such media hype in our times: Syed Kirmani on B'luru stampede
India's 1983 World Cup winner Syed Kirmani reacted to the Bengaluru stampede that occurred during RCB's victory celebration, calling it a "deadly welcome" for the IPL champions. "In our times, there was no such media hype and no TV, and there was no such thing which could lead to such things," he stated. Kirmani added, "My condolences to bereaved families."
