North Korean hackers used ChatGPT to help forge deepfake ID: Report
A North Korean state-sponsored hacking group, Kimsuky, allegedly used ChatGPT to create deepfake of a military ID card to attack South Korean target, Genians, a South Korean cybersecurity firm, said. The ID was created to produce a realistic-looking image for a phishing attempt. Instead of including a real image, the email linked to malware for extracting data from recipients’ devices.
