OceanGate CEO said he'd buy Congressman to make Titan's problems go away: Ex-staff
Stockton Rush, whose company OceanGate's Titan imploded and killed 5 people including Rush, had told ex-employee Matthew McCoy in 2017 that he'd "buy a Congressman" to make Titan expedition's problems "go away". McCoy said he resigned after Rush told him that the Coast Guard had tried to shut him down. OceanGate didn't plan to certify or register Titan, McCoy added.
