American software giant Oracle has laid off nearly 10% of its workforce of around 28,800 people in India, multiple reports said, linking the move to its AI expansion commitment. Employees working in software development, cloud services and customer support have reportedly been hit the hardest. Notably, Oracle and OpenAI have inked an agreement for AI infrastructure development in the US.
