Our rivers fed enemy lands while farmers stayed thirsty: PM on IWT
PM Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation on 79th Independence Day, called Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan "unjust" and "one-sided". Stating that blood and water will not flow together anymore, PM Modi said, "Waters of rivers originating in India had been irrigating the fields of our enemies, while farmers and the land of my own country remained thirsty without water."
