Ousted Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina convicted of crimes against humanity
Ousted Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has been convicted by Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal of crimes against humanity during deadly crackdown on student-led protests in 2024. A UN report estimated that up to 1,400 people were killed and thousands wounded during anti-government demonstrations between July 15 and August 5 last year. Hasina has been living in exile in India.
