Over 10,000 people evacuated in Delhi amid rains
The Yamuna river breached 206-metre mark in Delhi for the first time this monsoon on Tuesday evening, forcing evacuation of over 10,000 people from low-lying areas around the river. The river is flowing above danger mark amid rains and large releases from the Hathnikund barrage. Yamuna has crossed 207-metre mark only four times in the past 63 years.
