Over 2.2 billion people still offline, UN report reveals
A new UN report shows that over 2.2 billion people-more than a quarter of the world's population-have never used the internet. Despite widespread 3G and growing 5G coverage, access remains unequal, especially in low-income countries, rural regions, and parts of Africa. Young people are the most connected group, but affordability and infrastructure gaps continue to fuel the digital divide.
