Paediatrician says giving tea to kids may hinder growth
Paediatrician Dr Nihar Desai has warned against giving tea to young children, saying it can interfere with their growth and nutrient absorption. Tea is packed with caffeine, oxalates, and tannins that hinder the body's ability to absorb essential minerals like iron and calcium, which are vital for healthy development. Regular consumption may also disrupt sleep patterns and appetite.
