Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine may cause serious eye damage: Study
A study stated that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine may cause subtle but potentially serious effects on the eye's cornea, especially its innermost layer, the endothelium. Published in Ophthalmic Epidemiology, the study examined 64 patients before and after both vaccine doses. The study found that the vaccine led to thicker corneas, reduced number of endothelial cells, and structural changes.
