Philippines reveals its 1st BrahMos missile battery in Zambales
The Philippines has begun constructing its first BrahMos anti-ship missile base at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in Zambales, facing the South China Sea. The base, part of Manila’s 2022 $375 million deal with India for three BrahMos missile batteries, will enhance the Philippine Marine Corps’ coastal defence capabilities. It is strategically positioned near the disputed Scarborough Shoal.
