Piyush Goyal calls EU's carbon policy 'trap', says 'EU has buried head in sand'
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal raised concerns over usefulness of EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, a policy to regulate carbon emissions of imported goods. Calling it a "trap", Goyal said EU has "buried its head in the sand and will find it difficult to come out of the sand...in honourable fashion". CBAM may isolate and cause inflation in EU, he added.
