Plane drops 500ft after takeoff, avoids colliding with fighter jet by 107 metres in US
A Southwest Airlines flight dropped 500 feet mid-air while taking off from an airport in US' California to avoid colliding with a Hawker Hunter fighter jet. The planes came 7.82 km of each other laterally and 107 metres vertically while two flight attendants were injured in the incident. The passenger plane's pilots took action after receiving "two onboard traffic alerts".
