Planetary systems can be formed without a star: Study
Research stated that giant free-floating planets, not orbiting any star, can form their own planetary systems. JWST data found giant free-floating planets, five to ten times Jupiter's mass, can host dusty disks where planets may form. Dr Aleks Scholz noted these systems could mirror solar system, but at 1/100th the scale. However, it's still unclear whether such systems actually exist.
