Poland to boost defence spending, outpacing all NATO members
Poland has pledged to increase its defence spending to 4.8% of its GDP by 2026, which will make it the highest among NATO members, surpassing even the US. The country's draft 2026 budget allocates a record $55 billion to the military. Poland's PM Donald Tusk emphasised the need to build a "modern, large army" regardless of the costs.
