Policeman beaten, robbed by group of lawyers inside Varanasi court
Mithlesh Prajapati, a sub-inspector, was allegedly beaten by dozens of lawyers inside Varanasi court. Prajapati, who is being treated at BHU Trauma Centre after suffering 16 wounds and multiple internal injuries, said the lawyers also robbed him of ₹4,200 in cash. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from a land dispute case in Baragaon. Rana Prasad, another policeman, was also beaten.
