Prada team buys 7 pairs of Kolhapuri chappals amid row over using design
The technical team of luxury brand Prada, which was criticised for launching Kolhapuri chappals-like footwear without crediting Indian artisans, bought seven pairs of the chappals during their visit to Maharashtra's Kolhapur. They also visited manufacturing units. "They are interested in working with us for handmade crafts," Prasad Bhopal Shate, Director of the Kolhapur Footwear Association, said.
