Premature 600g baby survives heart condition at Hyd hospital
A premature baby weighing just 600 grams developed a severe heart condition (PDA) shortly after birth. Doctors at KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad, used a tiny device called Piccolo to close the vessel through the leg artery, avoiding risky surgery. After 97 days in the NICU, the baby recovered well and was discharged at 2.45 kg.
