Prez Trump went out of his way to compliment Mr Modi: Trump's envoy nominee on tensions
US President Donald Trump has a "deep friendship" with PM Narendra Modi, Trump's nominee for US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said. "When he (Trump) has gone after other nations (over tariffs), he tends to go after their leaders," said Sergio. However, Trump "went out of his way to compliment Mr Modi" when he criticised India over tariffs, Gor added.
