Prof. Syiemlieh honoured with Bhupen Hazarika Award
Historian Prof. David R. Syiemlieh from Meghalaya was among six recipients of the Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika National Awards, presented by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in Guwahati. Honoured for his contributions to education and literature, Prof. Syiemlieh’s work has greatly enriched the understanding of North East India’s history.
