Protesters raised slogans for Maoist Hidma, used pepper spray on us: Delhi Police to court
After arresting 22 protesters from India Gate, Delhi Police told the court that protesters "came completely equipped", used pepper spray on police personnel, and raised slogans in support of slain Maoist Madvi Hidma.
They claimed to protest against the capital's toxic air, police said. Notably, Hidma, responsible for at least 26 lethal armed attacks, was killed in encounter last week.
