Puducherry farmer saves 800 native veggies seeds, sells pan-India
During a college project in 2016, Sundar R learned about native seeds and biodiversity conservation. He travelled one lakh km in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to collect 800 types of native vegetable seeds, including a tomato that weighs a kg, perennial purple okra and many rare vegetables. He shares seeds for free with farmers and takes nominal rates from others all over India.
