Quitting as Netflix CEO saved firm, Co-founder Reed had said he's worried about me: Randolph
Netflix's first CEO Marc Randolph recalled that the one decision that defined the company was his decision to step down. "I'll never forget [Netflix Co-founder Reed Hastings]...saying, 'Marc, I've been thinking a lot about the future...I'm worried about you. About your judgement.' Hearing that stung," Randolph said. "Handing over reins hurt my ego...but it saved the company," he added.
