Replit CEO apologises as AI tool deletes investor's all database
Replit CEO Amjad Masad has issued an apology after the company’s AI agent deleted a production database during an investor’s experiment. Amjad said the incident was "unacceptable". Venture capitalist Jason Lemkin had claimed that AI coding assistant Replit "panicked" and deleted his entire database with 2,400+ entries without permission. The AI even accepted that it "destroyed months of work".
