Retail inflation in September falls to its lowest level in over 8 years
India's retail inflation in September fell to its lowest level in over eight years as it dipped to 1.54%, government data showed. The significant 53-basis-point inflation drop over August was led by vegetables (-21.38%), pulses (-15.32%) and spices (-3.07%). Personal care and effects (19.39%) and oils and fats (18.34%) saw the highest inflation rates. UP saw least inflation at -0.61%.
