Rupee falling against major currencies good for economy: Economist
Rajiv Kumar, economist and former NITI Aayog VC, said the Indian rupee's depreciation against major world currencies is not worrying. "In fact, it is good for the economy as it encourages labour-intensive exports from India, increases foreign exchange earnings and generates more jobs," Kumar said. "The Macho Rupee syndrome should be discarded immediately," he added.
