Russia should reconsider their troops here, says new Syrian govt
Syria's new transitional government said there is no place for Russian presence in Syria, adding that it should reconsider its troops in the country. The comments came a week after the country's long-time President Bashar al-Assad was overthrown. Russia operates two military bases in Syria, namely the Khmeimim air base near Latakia and Tartus naval base on the Mediterranean coast.
