Russian student meets Indian doctor whose bone marrow saved her
A Russian student recently met an Indian doctor, who donated his bone marrow to save her life, to express gratitude for saving her life. Kristina Zubareva was diagnosed with severe idiopathic aplastic anaemia in 2022, and her only chance of survival was a bone marrow transplant. Gurugram-based Dr Sameer Arora, whom Kristina called her "blood brother", was her compatible donor.
