Data released on Wednesday shows that South Korea's fertility rate increased in 2024 for the first time in nine years. A rise in weddings was also observed, with reports indicating a potential end in nation's demographic crisis. The country's birth rate dropped from 1.24 in 2015 to 0.72 in 2023, lowest in the world, but rose to 0.75 in 2024.
