South Africa stand-in captain Wiaan Mulder gave up the chance to overtake former West Indies captain Brian Lara's world record knock of 400*(582). Mulder declared South Africa's first innings in the second Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo at 626/5 while he was batting on 367*(334). Mulder's 367* is the highest score by a batter in an away Test match.
